  • DRC (2024-present)-Emergency Response

The biggest impediment to peace in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is the lack of a coherent peace process. Various peace initiatives have been initiated and have either stalled or are facing significant barriers. One key barrier this emergency response seeks to eliminate is the ‘stalemate’ between DRC’s President Tshisekedi and Rwanda’s President Kagame.

This ER campaign is an immediate intervention in the short term to catalyse change and enable partners’ longer-term efforts towards peace and stability in the DRC, by working with the African Union to help get Rwanda’s and DRC’s presidents to engage meaningfully at the negotiating table.
